There are three main types of horses. Heavy Horses, Light Horses, and Ponies.
Heavy horses include draft horses such as Clydesdales, Percherons, Shire, and
ECT. Draft horses are heavy set horses most are tall and can weigh over a ton!
It hurts when they step on your toe (believe me!). One VERY famous
Belgium horse is Radar. He’s HUGE! I was luck enough to see him though.
They had a semi come and haul him here. All the way from TEXAS he was at
Mtn. Grove. At MFA. I think he’s 64½ inches tall. He eat around 10lbs. of hay
and 16-20 gal of water a day. He’s a lot bigger than the shortest horse in the
world.
Light horses are your horses that are only weigh about 1,000-1,500lbs. Unless
you’ve got one over weight or really tall! (They hurt when they step on your to
too!) A couple examples of light horses would be one a Lipizzaner, they were
breed for war but now they are commonly used as trick horses. Another example
would be Thoroughbreds are breed really fast for a long distance maybe several
miles. Quarter Horses (my favorite!) are bred to sprint really fast for about a
quarter of a mile.
An example of a light horse is this Arabian. I drew it my self. When I get bored I draw all the time.

Ponies are normally around 13 hands or shorter. So little pony can be a
pain! Like my grandma’s. Her name is Peanut she bite’s (sometimes) and she kicked me
one time it didn’t hurt but still she could hurt my little cousin.
A hand is the way you measure a horse’s height. My horse’s height is about 15.3 hands high. A hand is 4in. My horse is about 61.2 hands high.

The white markings on a
horse are genetically different. The markings help us identify each horse.
If horses eat too much food they can get stomach aches too, just like humans. But if they don't have enough food they get too skinny.
The horses biggest organ is there skin of course! It is the humans biggest organ too. Do you know which side of the horse has the most hair? (I got asked this in an interview)
